Hello, I'm Angela, the boss lady at Hickmotts Gifts. I've been curating our unique products and serving our wonderful customers in-store for over 6 years. Before my time, it was my grandmother, Veronica, who ran the show for nearly 40 years, starting with a newsagent and transforming it into the beautiful gift store we have today. Since taking over, I've focused on refining our brands and products, bringing unique and quality ranges to our community in Bowen.
Now, my mum Kerry has joined the team, making Hickmotts Gifts a true family-run and owned store. Even my hubby and kids pitch in – a testament to our shared passion for what we do. We're not just a store; we're a family, a legacy, and a place where community and quality meet.
Looking forward, my vision for Hickmotts Gifts includes introducing a diverse range of clothing for babies, kids, and teens. This addition, not currently available in Bowen, aims to meet the diverse needs of our customers, offering a one-stop-shop for families as they navigate the various stages of childhood and adolescence.
Beyond the store, I am deeply committed to working with our community. We actively support local community groups in their fundraising endeavors and collaborate with the local library to host engaging author events. Additionally, our involvement with the local Zonta club allows us to contribute to and participate in meaningful events that positively impact our community. At Hickmotts Gifts, community engagement is at the heart of what we do, and we look forward to continuing our efforts in making Bowen an even more vibrant and connected place for all.
